ESPN is currently reporting former Michigan Quarterback Tate Forcier is heading to San Jose State.
This should conclude a lot of what we hear about him. The hype machine around Forcier (see their website) ran full steam as soon he became a senior in high school. Through promising, and frankly in the right system, he never quite found the consistency required to win games without a defense, as Rich Rod liked to do. Denard Robinson brought a lot more explosion to the Michigan offense, through frail. With Hoke in the Michigan blanket it’ll be interesting to see how Robinson performs in a less gimmicky scheme.
Forcier will likely win a starting job at San Jose State, but will have to put in some significant work (particularly in the passing game) if he intends to attempt the jump to the NFL.
